Some people carry far more weight than their fair share. And others rarely see it.
I'm not quite sure what to do to make friends, but on the other hand I've learned what not to do. I should not mention that I have a sister with severe autism.
Because people who hear about my sister fall into three categories: those who feel sorry for me, those who turn away, and those who mock.
And I don't want any of that to happen at my new school.
It's not easy to have autism. Certainly not to live with someone who has.
