The Light of the East
Petros Komnenos, son of one of the richest and most powerful Greeks in Egypt, grows up in one of the poorest districts of Alexandria. A death and imminent murder forces the family of Anestis Danezis to leave Chios and immigrate to Egypt. The life of Angeliki, daughter of Anestis Danezis, intersects with that of Petros Komnenos under peculiar circumstances. Petros, one of the most important doctors in the Middle East, fights an unconditional and boundless battle against conflicting perceptions and fatalism, conveying strong messages on how to make people happy regardless of crises, poverty, revolutions, persecutions and insurmountable obstacles.
A trip to beautiful Alexandria, in two centuries of Hellenism. A sweet taste of the Greek East, a bitter taste of oriental Greece. Two peoples who, despite all their huge differences, coexist harmoniously until the great persecution of the Greeks from Egypt. A story with true events, which looks like a fairy tale, like the ones told by the storytellers to the poor audiences of the East.
